Rugged
Design delivers performance
Coen duct burners
provide stable combustion with the latest generation of turbines at TEG oxygen
levels greater than 11% by volume, wet. Heavy duty high alloy burner castings
and rugged system components assure reliability. Turndown range is over 10:1
firing gas; 5:1 firings oil staging burners on and off.
Gas-Fired
Burner
Coen's duct burner is
the industry standard. This low draft loss design is capable of firing either
natural gas or refinery gas. The use of many small burners distributed evenly
across the duct provides the even temperature profile desirable for efficient
heat recovery steam generator operation.
Side-Fired
Duct Burner
When firing fuel oils,
Coen's side-fired duct bruner delivers superior performance. The externally
mounted oil atomizers can be removed and cleaned without turbine or boiler
shutdown.
The patented Coen flame
shield insures uniform heat distribution when firing agas or oil. TEG is supplied
to the windbox by individual ducts taking a slip stream of TEG upstream of
the burner. The oil atomizer, capable of firing a range of fuels from naphtha
to No. 6 fuel oil, can be safely removed for maintenance.
Custom
Designed Duct Burner
Coen develops specialty
designs to meet exact site needs.
Examples include
:
- Air augmented designs
for low O2 TEG streams.
- In-line gas and light
oil designs.
- Low BTU gas firing designs
for landfill, producer and coal gases.
- Dirty gas designs incorporating
clean-out provisions.
The low BTU gas duct burner
for installation in coal gas-fired facilities is just one of many examples of
Coen's design caability and flexibility.
All gas-fired burners are
available in heat release ranges to more than 600 million BTU/HR.
A factory packaged and tested
piping module and a micro-processor based flame safeguard system are included
with the burner.
